It is with joy and sadness we announce that Profe Cristina has taught her last class with Makarios International this year. We send her off though with all our love and gratitude for having been such a vital part of Makarios for so long. She has been with Makarios since August 2006 and has been invaluable to us, the children she has served, and the surrounding communities. She will be greatly missed but we rejoice with her in new opportunities.

Profe Kendall & Profe Johan will together be taking over Profe Cristina’s class. Their first day as our official new teachers was February 16th. Kendall has been with Makarios since January 2009 and trained Johan when he first came on with Makarios as a teacher’s aide last October. Kendall and Johan work well together and the children love them! The kids are responding well to the the new classroom management and the transition appears to have been a fluid one.
