Missions Teams
Makarios hosts groups in the D.R. year-round to work and to learn about missions, service, Dominican life and culture. If you are interested in gathering a group from your church or school to visit the D.R., or if you are an individual interested in joining a Makarios missions team, we invite you to share your time and talents with the children and communities Makarios serves. Internship Program
The Makarios internship program is a flexible program tailored to meet each student’s academic and spiritual needs. We welcome students with Spanish proficiency to join us for a summer or semester in the Dominican Republic or Austin.

Sponsor a Child
The Makarios School is made possible with through our Sponsorship Program. Through sponsoring a child, you provide the resources necessary to keep our school in the Dominican Republic running. We are currently raising funds to expand the Makarios School so that we can reach more children with better resources. Right now, we are needing help in the following areas:
Playground
Our playground still needs three slides. Help us raise money for the slides and shipping. (Read the blog posts Part 1 and Part 2.)
Library
Our library needs books and other educational materials. A $5 donation = 1 new book in our library!
School Construction
We are outgrowing our current facilities and need to expand our school. Construction to begin in spring of 2012.
General Fund
Our general fund covers the costs of our Austin office & staff members, non-school related employees in the Dominican Republic, and various other needs.
