Missions Teams

Makarios hosts groups in the D.R. year-round to work and to learn about missions,  service, Dominican life and culture. If you are interested in gathering a group from your church or school to visit the D.R., or if you are an individual interested in joining a Makarios missions team, we invite you to share your time and talents with the children and communities Makarios serves.  Email us for more information.

Full-time positions with a two year commitment beginning July 1, 2012 (all positions are in the Dominican Republic):

    •  - Elementary Teacher (Spanish fluency required)
    •  - Early Childhood Special Ed Teacher (Spanish fluency required)
    •  - ESL Teacher (Spanish Proficiency required)
    •  - School Health Administrator (medical and administrative training, Spanish proficiency required)
    •  - Facilities Manager (Spanish proficiency required)
    •  - Principal (Past Teaching Experience- at least 4 years, administrative training,  Spanish fluency required)
    •  - Partnerships Coordinator (Spanish fluency required)  Develop strategic partnerships with local and international ministries that expand the impact of all involved.

Internship Program


The Makarios internship program is a flexible program tailored to meet each student’s academic and spiritual needs. We welcome students with Spanish proficiency to join us for a summer or semester in the Dominican Republic or Austin.
