Makarios is excited to partner with William & Eunice, a Sudanese couple serving in Nagishot (Southern Sudan), and Jonathan & Lauren Ramirez, a missionary couple.  They have started a church and health clinic, and are now in the process of opening a school.  Most of the buildings have not yet been built, but the children are already coming to school, as there are no other schools in the area.

The vision for the school is to bring students together from neighboring, feuding tribes and raise them as peace-loving leaders in a Christian enviroment.  Currently classes are held outdoors or under the cover of a basic structure with no walls.

Makarios has partnered with the school, called City on a Hill School, to provide educational materials, teacher training, and sponsors for the students.  If you’re interested in sponsoring a child, contact Anne Marie.  For information on how you can help in other ways, contact Sharla.
